Гигантская библиотека. Одна из лучших в Москве после Ленинки. Выбор книг впечатляет. Кроме чтения книг есть множество других интересных занятий, часто идет кино, выставки. Японский культурный центр тоже здесь.

Моя любимая библиотека в студенческие годы. Очень много литературы, можно делать распечатки. Хороший абонемент внизу, а также книжный магазин. Есть столовая, что очень нужно при поездке в библиотеку на целый день, есть зал детской литературы, куда надеюсь отвезти детей...Когда не было мобильных телефонов очень выручал бесплатный телефон

Это было одно из моих самых любимых мест, когда я учился в университете в Москве. Это была действительно скрытая жемчужина в центре города. Что мне понравилось в этой библиотеке, так это свободный доступ в Американский центр, где проходили разные интересные мероприятия. Также на одном из верхних этажей была станция/библиотека BBC. Мне всегда нравилось посещать это место, потому что в этом здании царила какая-то успокаивающая, высвобождающая дофамин атмосфера. Даже окрестности библиотеки и ее сада создавали очень приятную атмосферу. Надо еще сказать, что та часть Москвы, где находится эта библиотека, вообще всегда обладала терапевтической энергетикой. Мне не хватает прогулки от станции Таганская до этой библиотеки, чтобы посетить какие-то мероприятия, послушать разные лекции или просто побродить по разным библиотекам, а затем идти по улице Солянке в сторону Китай-города. Хорошие времена. Вот как я проводил время, когда был студентом. It was one of my most favorite places/spots when I studied at university in Moscow. It was truly a hidden gem in the downtown area. What I loved about this library was free access to American center, where various interesting events were being held. Also there was BBC station/library on one of the upper levels. I always loved visiting this place , because there was some kind of calming, dopamine releasing atmosphere in this building. Even the surrounding of the library and its garden had a very pleasant vibe. I have to also say that that part of Moscow, where this library is located, in general, has always had therapeutic energy. I miss walking from Taganskaya station to this library to attend some events, listen to various lectures or just to wander in different libraries, and then walking down the Ulitsya Solyanka towards Kitay Gorod. Good times. That's how I was spending my time when I was student.

Вынуждают оставлять одежду в гардеробе. В библиотеку пришла на мероприятие, т.е. не находилась в зале с книгами. В помещении не жарко, из-за этого было некомфортно там находиться.

Хорошее место, но впечатление, что со сменой руководства самые удачные мероприятия исчезают по принципу «как бы чего не вышло» как был в американском центре при вгбил танцевальный клуб в стиле американского свинга и латиноамериканской бачаты. Если прежнее руководство в чем-то проштрафилось это не должно означать, что все теперь должно быть формально и для отчетности, а не для людей.
