Красивый храм на набережной с примечательной колокольней (подколокольн. церковь в честь иконы Божьей Матери «Взыскание погибших»). Наиболее известной иконой, ранее находящейся в храме, была икона Владимирской Божией Матери, написанная в 1697 г. священником Иоанном Михайловым. Во время ликвидации храма в 1932 г. всё имущество церкви было конфисковано. Икона Владимирской Богоматери была передана в Третьяковскую галерею, где хранится до сих пор. Ансамбль храма сильно пострадал в советское время. В 1960 г. здание храма и колокольню объявили памятником культуры, но реставр. работы начались только в 70-е гг. Храм и колокольню вернули Церкви в 1992 г. А службы в храме Софии Премудрости Божией возобновлены с 11 апреля 2004 г. Редкая икона "Премудрости Божией Софии" и др. Храм Софии открыт ежедневно до 21 ч.

Небольшой круг постоянных прихожан. Тихо, спокойно. В самом центре города. Чаепития по четвергам. Атмосфера любви и гармонии. Нет постоянных запретов, упреков и нравоучений. Хочется приходить еще. Душа радуется.
